Our journey began in December 2022, when IslandSportz proudly hosted its first official ITF Beach Tennis tournaments — a BT10 and a BT50 — right here on the golden sands of Cyprus.

It was a landmark moment for us and for the local beach tennis community, marking the first internationally recognized event of this scale organized by a Cypriot team. Over the course of one exciting week, we welcomed players from across Europe who competed under the winter sun in a celebration of sport, energy, and friendship.

The tournaments offered world ranking points and €5,000 in total prize money, bringing a professional level of play and production to the island. From thrilling matches and passionate crowds to the unique beachside atmosphere, the 2022 event set the foundation for what would become an annual IslandSportz tradition — combining top-tier competition with the laid-back, island spirit we’re known for.

This debut event proved one thing: beach tennis in Cyprus is here to stay — and we’re only getting started. 🌊🎾
